Les Bouchardy-Rabinovici
The Rabinovici-Bouchardy family, four children; eight syllables and currently residing in
Paris, is very partial to the USA. Here's a part of the reason why: Fabienne and
Jean's
wedding took place in Las Vegas on September 20, 1996. Regretfully, we did not
attend.
But check out the French cowboy!! Like us, they
married after having a child or two, in their case Fiona and Maeve! Gotta work on that timing!
This is a friendship that goes way back: Grand-père
went to the same school as Faby's father back in the 1930s, and the two men belonged to
the same theater troupe and hunted together in the 50s and 60s. Naturally
enough, Marie-Hélène and Fabienne got to know each other, and
after settling down with families in the 1990s sought each other out afresh.
We see them every year, either at home in
Santa Cruz or at their home in Paris. During their
visit in the summer of 2000, the Rabinovici clan went to the Santa Cruz Beach
Boardwalk
with Daphné. Check them out there, and

For the dad as much as for Fiona and Leah, his little girls!
Here is another of a trip to the Boardwalk, again! This time it was the
summer of 2003. Fiona is in front of her maman, and Maeve in front of
Daphné.
Okay, so let's move on from the Boardwalk. Back a
few years to May 1997 and our wedding reception, at
La Bellanderie, our lovely home in the Forest
of Rambouillet, southwest of Paris. Faby and Jean came, of course, with their
two daughters: Leah and Chenoah came later.
First, on the left, Fabienne took this wonderful shot of Maeve holding a
nervous little Charlie's hand. He had yet to turn two.
On the right we see Grand-père
beaming behind his three God-daughters, including Fabienne in the middle.
By the way, Marie-Christine is in blue: she is
Marie-Hélène's Godmother. So her father's Goddaughter
is her Godmother! Think about that one!
Next, we have two photos taken during a visit that we made to Faby and Jean
in their Paris apartment in July 2004.
On the left we find the little Chenoah, very cute.
