Marie-Hélène and Daphné
On the right on Mother's Day, 2004, at Zelda's in Capitola. The T-shirt says "Hi Mom!" Shortly thereafter Daphné excused herself to move her car, and we didn't see her again until nightfall!
This is a relationship made in heaven. This household has only two female members, and six male. Needless to say, mother and daughter feel the need to stick together (although as one of the males in the household I can't imagine why!), and they do. Even in adolescence, when there is inevitably the odd issue to deal with, they soldier on through thick and thin, together. It's really wonderful to watch.
Here are two photographs which pose the question: who's the daughter!!?? Another featuring very similar expressions can be seen here, this time with Alex sharing the expression.
Alban makes up the Berhaut Brun trio among us, and you don't have to worry, he keeps his end up! ![]()
Here is a recent mother daughter photo taken at the Hanlons' for Thanksgiving 2005, accompanied by the other women present, Annie Hanlon and her mother-in-law, far left, and Delora. More photos of Marie-Hélène's friends can be found here.
But of course what really characterizes this duo is their inherent femininity, displayed in dulcet tones in the last two photos of our maman fille combo, below, both taken in amusement parks.
Other family groups can be found on these pages; the four older children all dote on Alex and Charles, as can be seen here, here, here, and here. |
